One year with MAS

Wowww! I cant believe it... It feels like just yesterday I went to the interview room, being interviewed by the panel... And I can still remember all the questions asked and how screwed up my answers were....

And here I am now, one year being an Associate with the MAS... Lots of things had happened along the way... I have learnt lots and lots more than I can possibly imagine... And all I can say is that I have a sweet and sour relationship with my work! Hahaaa... It's up to you how you wanna interpret it... But I love deep-fried fish fillets with sweet and sour sauce... Hehee...

Lets take a walk down my memory lanes with MAS, shall we? But before we start, I just wanna thank all my colleagues and friends for making my time with MAS so far, so colorful and interesting...

Reunion Dinner 2009

Yay!! This is definitely the highlight of my holiday this time... Lots of fun, lots of laughs, lots of foods, lots of joy and of course lots of angbaos! =p

It was on 31 Jan 2009 at my uncle's house. We started the day with a prayer to God and our ancestors in the morning (I think this is a tradition in some Chinese families).

Then we had our reunion dinner in the evening!!! I ate a lot lot lot lot lot until my tummy wanna burst! Hahaaa...

There's also a bday celebration for my cousin, whose bday fell on the same date as the CNY eve...
After the dinner, there's a karaoke session... It was quite fun although I didn't sing at all... Hahaaa... I cant sing and I'm not really into karaoke and stuff... =p

When the clock ticked to 12 midnight, we continued the fun with some fireworks and fire crackers!

Well, after all those activities, our tummies started to crawl again... And its time for supper! We had a mini BBQ session with some corn, meatballs & sausages at the garden. One of the new things that surprised me when I went back home this time round is that there are 2 new cats in the house... They are not my pets nor my parents', but they belong to my maids. Hahaa... Although they are just normal "stray" cats, but they look cute in pictures... Hohoo~ Dont u agree!?

I went back home on 29 Jan 09 to celebrate CNY with my family... Although it was only for a very short period, I had lots of fun with some sweet and nice memories for me to remember forever... For example, my parents welcomed me home with this:

It's my graduation picture with my fave flowers, stargazer & casablanca lilies (in case you don't know =p). And if u zoom in, there's a card hanging on the flowers... So Sweet!!! ^^

Although most of my friends disbelieved that my height is "175 cm" and said that the measurement was inaccurate, I was so happy with it!! =D But I have to agree that the weight measurement was super duper inaccurate!!

Singapore Garden Festival 2008

Great news of the day:

"The participation rate for Graduation Giving 2008 campaign (iGave 2008) is 36%, a very big jump from 27% of 2007."

Yup2... Yesterday I went to MAS Dinner and Dance 2008 at Swissotel... It was fun and the food was good too!! Unfortunately, I din win any of the lucky draw prizes.... =( So sad... Haizzz... I want the tickets to Italy!!! Haizz... I think my luck will be accumulated for the other bigger prizes!! Hahaa...

Went to Downtown East this afternoon to look around, and unexpectedly, they were having an event, where lots and lots of ppl wearing japanese anime/manga costumes... From Naruto to Final Fantasy series, and from Ironman to Pokemon... Yea... I saw people wearing Pikachu costume! Unfortunately, I din manage to take the picture!!!

PR Application on 27 June 2008

I went to ICA to apply for my PR last Friday, and the queue was terrible... Hahaa... I reached thr at 7.20am (FYI, the office opens at 8am), and there were many ppl queuing olredi! And although I cut the queue (thanks to WK and Inche for reaching thr at 7am), it was still v v v long!!! Hahaaa... It took me ard 2 hours to queue and finish the whole application process... Here are the pics:

So for those who want to apply for PR, please come as early as you can! Hehee... I heard if you come late, say ard 11am, it may take you 5 hours to queue and process your application...

I was quite surprised when I received the email 2 weeks ago, as I did not expect it to be me... Well, this will always be one of the best things that I will always be proud of... NTU has been in constant strive to building up strong alumni relations and we have explored through many alumni programmes and activities to connect with our 120,000 alumni.

Last week was a very busy week here… We received a lot of orders for flower arrangements for the condolences, wedding and also the grand opening of a new hospital here (all within the same week)! There was one night, I slept at 3am just to help with some of the admin stuffs and did a bit of flower arrangement here and thr… Hehee…

Hehee… It makes me think tt I may want to open a flower shop too in the future, maybe after I retire… I will call it “Raphael Florist”. And here is the logo tt I designed in 2 minutes:

University Scholars Award

Yay!! Although it's a bit too late to post it here, but at least the event has not started and the award has not been presented... Huehehee...

Yup2, I'm so happy tt I won this award! And Ms. Susi Hermanta, my high school teacher from SMAK 1 Jakarta, and Dr. Lee Pooi See, my professor from NTU, also won the award!! :-)

I guess some of you maybe wondering about this award. Well, here is the write-up of it:

"To nurture, enhance and recognize teaching excellence and the impact which great teachers have on their students, the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) initiated the "University Scholars Award" with the graduating class of Academic Year 2006/2007.

This award gives recognition to the influence of inspirational teaching, and the enduring bonds that are forged between teachers and students. It aims to establish long-lasting and fulfilling relationships between the university, the students and their teachers.

Top NTU students who win this award will have achieved excellent academic performance, displayed strong leadership ability and demonstrated potential for contributing to society. Each winner will acknowledge an NTU faculty member and a teacher from his/her former junior college, polytechnic, or equivalent institution, who have inspired and have contributed significantly to his/her education.

The teachers and NTU faculty members will be honoured at the NTU Convocation. The teachers will also be recognized for their inspirational teaching with a S$5,000 cash grant each to be established in their names. Each honoured teacher will nominate a student from his/her junior college, polytechnic or equivalent institution to receive the S$5,000 grant upon admission to NTU."

I'm so happy that I managed to make both of my parents happy and proud to have me as their child! And I'm happy to be able to honour some of my teachers with this award! :-)

And with this, I will be quite busy for the whole day on Monday, 21st July 2008. We'll have the award presentation in the morning, followed by my Class Plaque Laying Ceremony speech, then the campus tour in the afternoon, and will end the day with the University Awards Dinner at the Conrad Centennial. Hohooo~

Hmm… Holiday got nothing to do, so I performed a magic trick… heheee…

Although it might look ugly, but it tasted good!!! Hehee... Actually there were so many mistakes I made behind the scene… I changed the recipe by adding more “tape” and reducing the sugar… And I messed up the steps a lil bit (read a lot)… Stirring, mixing, stirring… So confusing… Hahaaa… So I just put everything into the cake mixer and let the machine mix all the ingredients… Nonetheless, the cake was still okay and edible… =p

My First Attempt in Making Sushi

Yup, I dunno why suddenly I wanna try to make sushi, and without much preparation, I made my very special original sushi for the very first time this morning!! With no knowledge or recipe on how to make sushi, I just tried my luck and hopefully they are edible... Heheee...

Here are the things tt I used to make them:

1 bowl of glutton rice, 2 packs of sea weed, 1 pack of Japanese "abon" mixed spices, 1 egg, fishball, beef, fish, prawn and quill egg.

First I put salt and pepper on all the "toppings" tt I used, then I fried them with butter... Hmm... It's not easy, and I was struggling... Hahaa... After my first attempt, I hated it and I asked my maid to fry the rest of the meat and the egg... Hehee... =p

Then I mixed the rice with the instant japanese "abon" (seaweed, wasabi, seeds, unknown spices, etc) to give them some flavours... And I rolled the rice, put the meat on top of it and wrapped them with the sea weed... And here is the final result:

I managed to make 15 pieces of sushi!!! Hahaaa... The taste? hmmm... It's for me to know and for you to find out! =p Heheee... But all I can say is tt it's very unique, I never tasted anything like tt before, and most importantly, THEY ARE EDIBLE... In fact we managed to eat finish all of them!!! Huahahaa...

Yea... I'm finally home.. Heheee... There are a couple of interesting things happened from the moment I arrived at Soekarno Hatta International Airport up to now...

First, I was stuck at the airport for 1.5 hours coz nobody picked me up thr... Hahaaa... Wad an experience! It may sound very bad, but actually it's caused by the stupid dam or smt tt leaked and caused the road to be flooded, so the traffic was super duper jammed, and the car couldnt cross the road... So they must use the alternative way... And to make things worse, I forgot to bring my other wallet tt contains all my Rupiahs and all... So I need to change my S$ with the not so good rate and use it to call and buy my lunch at the airport... Hahaaa...

And the nightmare had just started... After I was picked up by my Uncle's Chauffeur (my mom dun wanna pick me up at the Airport coz she knew tt the traffic was so bad... hahaa), again we were 'trapped' inside the car for another 3 freaking hours! The traffic was so so so so so so BAD! The car couldn't move at all!!! Haizzz... But I still thanked God for giving me patience and I reached home safely and soundly~

But all the bad things came to an end after the dinner... Hahaaa... We went to Ah Yat Abalone for a "good" dinner... Altho in my opinion it's not tt good~ Hahaa... Anyway here is the pic of the foods tt we had thr:

FYP Presentation is Over

Yea!!! Huahahaa... Hmmm... It's finally over! I'm gonna blog quite a couple of small2 things that has been happening for the past few days...

1st update -> I met Sundo, GD and Felis for dinner last Sunday at Vivo... We decided to try Hog's Breath Cafe, coz to me the name is v interesting, to Sundo, it seems to be quite famous but nvr tried b4, and GD said its famous in aussie... I ordered Tex Mex combo (if I'm not mistaken e name)... It was quite nice and v filling... Heheee....

We did take a couple of pics thr, but they r all still wif GD, so maybe I'll update this post once I receive e pick from her...

2nd update -> I've finished my Class Plaque Speech!!! Yay! But cant post it here until I deliver the speech... Heheee... Now left wif the MSE convo speech....

3rd update -> I'll be interviewed by The Muttons from 987 FM this evening or tmr to tell about my life in NTU... I think it will b much fun! And it will b aired on 15th May, 8-12pm... So do tune in ya! Hahaa...

4th update -> I finished my FYP presentation this morning... There r a couple interesting things happened... First, I set up all e things, my laptop, tables, etc etc 1 hour earlier and then YouYi came in to the room... And to cut the story short, I entered the wrong TR... Heheee... Then 1 hour later I started my FYP... In the middle of my presentation, suddenly all my animations run by itself!!!! And my examiner said, "Please, can u fix the problem 1st? It's very irritating and difficult to concentrate..." Haizzz... Then I stoped my presentation, I deleted all the animations (I spent hours just to make all the nice2 animations... huhuu), but when I started again, they still changed the slide by itself again!!! Arghh... In the end I just presented without the slideshow, and just use the working screen directly... Apart from the stupid technical problem... Everything was okay... Hahaaa... Then on my way home, I decided to buy the financial calculator, which I think I will need it in the future... Bought the Texas Instrument BA II Plus Professional at $75 at the Campus Book Store... I think the price is cheaper compared to outside... Then had lunch at NIE canteen... I had 1 bowl of mee siam and 1 bowl of mushroom minched meat noodle... Hahaaa... Super duper full, coz I nvr eat 2 bowls of noodles at e same time... hahaa... Oh ya this is the pic of one of the NIE staircase, which I always wanna take since 1st year... And I did it now!!! Hahaa...

5th update -> I was supposed to be one of the 10 selected student ambassadors for the Minister George Yeo visit tdy at 11.30am (after my FYP presentation)... Unfortunately, he's not feeling well, so the visit is canceled or postponed to a later date... Huhuuu...

6th update -> I'll b flying back home this Thursday, 8th May - 18th June... Quite a long holiday but still havent decided where to go... Haizzz... Bye2 my busy busy busy Spore days... Hehee...

7th update -> Going for the Graduation Night tonight! I rented a mini bus from my hall to the hotel, as I'll b going thr wif the other 12 frens of mine... Hahaaa... Now I'm thinking, wad should I wear??? Huhuhuu....

Last Indo MSE Outing

We had our last Indo MSE outing 2 days ago, on 30th April 2008... It was the last outing before our convocation, and hopefully we will still have some outings after our convo too! This outing was very simple and different, as we only went for dinner together then visit some places to chit-chat and tilk-talk... hahaa...

The initial plan was to haf dinner at Somerset to eat Padang food thr, however they changed it last minute, and we ended up had our dinner at Shokudo, Raffles City. I had salmon baked rice and assorted Japanese mushroom for my dinner:

The place was quite nice and there were lots of ppl too... However the food was not so nice, or maybe I ordered the not so nice ones... Heheee... But we had fun, and we played Black Magic, Dor Dor Dorrr, Click click click, 1+1=0, open-close and many other brain-less games... Hahaaa...

Then we walked to Esplanade to disturb some couples thr!! Hahaa... We made lots of noise and we just cant b bothered... Here are the pics tt we took along the way:

Help!!! Help!!! Help!!! Hahaaa... I guess nobody can help me now... I'm so overloaded... So many things to do coz Ive been slacking for too long! And my butt is just so heavy to get goin... Haizz... Wad to do?? Haaaa...

Ok ok... I guess I shouldnt be complaining and start to sort things out... Haizz... Here is a snap shot of my "things to do" labels... =p

Checking tours for holiday (so lazy to do, but wanna go for vacation... my dad wan me go US or China... but US no time to arrange the visa, and China they tighten their visa policy bcoz of the olympic... So dunno where to go... maybe just stay home and play my Pokemon Diamond & Pearl... I'll b quite happy olredi... See, it's so easy to please me...)

9. Medical Check Up (will do it tmr)

10. Laundry and room cleaning (hmmm... maybe nx nx nx nx nx week??? haizz)

Yesterday, Friday, 25th April 2008, I went to the above mentioned event at NTU @one-north Executive Centre aka the NTU Alumni Club building... It's the 8th Distinguished Alumni Forum Series and the Guest-of-Honour is Mr. Anthony Teo, Secretary to the University. He is super duper kind and friendly, and I was surprised that he still remembered my name!! And we had a lil chit chat before the event started.

Alumni speakers include:

Mr. Pei Sai Fan, Director & Head (Supervisory Methodologies & Training), Monetary Authority of Singapore (second from left in the picture)
Mr. Wong Sui Jau, General Manager, Fundsupermart.com (far right)
Mr. Wang Ying Yang, Jack, Co-Founder, Lexico Advisory Pte Ltd (far left)

and the chairperson of the forum is Mr. Sarjit Singh, Vice President & Comptroller, American International Assurance Company (second from right).

They are all NTU alumni... And it makes me think, will I ever become one of them? If yes, when? I dun wan to be so old when I reach the director level or maybe something even higher... And will I ever be invited to be the speaker or GOH of the future Distinguished Alumni Forum Series? Well, nobody knows what the future holds... But I have to be optimistic, dream big and of course take actions... I KNOW I CAN!!! And I believe everyone of us also CAN!! =)

Oh ya, Dr. Sun Min Yap, the Director of Alumni Affairs Office was also there, and of course the other AAO staffs. I met and talked to one of them, Christine, and she told me tt there's a plan in the pipeline of organizing the first alumni gathering event for the Indonesian NTU alumni in Spore sometime in end of August this year. And after tt she asked me to join to be one of the NTU Class Agents for this year graduating batch... Hmm... I told her tt I already joined as the class agent for my school, but then she said why u dun wanna extend it to be the university class agent instead... I know thr will b quite a lot of things to do if I wanna be a commited class agent, and it is something for a life-time, in a sense tt thr's no office term like the other CCA positions I've been part of... And I think I cant retire from the position... But how can I reject it? Hahaa... I love to keep my self busy and to stay connected to my NTU friends... I love all of my friends! Cant afford to lose any of u... =)

Anyway, initially I tot I'll b alone and lonely thr without any friends I know to talk to... Hahaa... And come to my surprise, there were Kai Yoon, Rica, Willy, Anshuman, Jon, Kang Qian, En Chun, Dimas, Yick Hwa, Adhi, and many many more thr... Din expect tt I'll meet so many ppl I know thr... Hahaa... Good good...

The talk itself was quite general and broad... But there's one quote from Warren Buffett mentioned by Jack during his presentation tt's really interesting:

Breathing The Air of Freedom

Yay!!! I finished my last of the last last paper for my entire 4-year journey in NTU!!! Hahaaa... So happy... Did I do well? I dunno, tough to say... Will I get my first F? I hope no... But the most important thing is that I am so so so HAPPY and I even took some pictures of the exam hall as a memorabilia (did I type it correctly? so lazy to check the dictionary... lol)

Hmm... And I also tried my skill in taking a 180 deg view picture... (I used to be so good in taking 360 deg pictures, when I was still doing my IA with Exxon... Bcoz was attached to the inspection dep, and had to do this so many many many times... Hahaaa...), and this is the combined picture from 5 different angles taken from my seat:

(blogspot sucks!! My pic becomes so small... cant see clearly... huhuu...) I bet the girl sitting on my right (centre in pic) was thinking, "wad the hell is he doing!!?" Hahaa...

And when I walked back to my room, a friend of mine said tt I grew fatter... And I am so happy to hear that... hahaa... (but still not as fat as last year... will show you my fat picture next time).Now, I think this will make me even fatter or at least keep me fat!! Hahaa...

Hahaaa... yup2... I treated my self a medium size pizza (but it turned out to be very BIG!), some chips, coke and a can of carlsberg to celebrate my last exam and of course to keep me FAT! lol... It costs me less than $25, so it's still okay... but the satisfaction I get... it's PRICELESS!!

Now the question is can I finish the whole pan by my self? of course no... So I shared wif my lovely neighbour, Mr. WK... And we still cant finish... duh... Each only managed to eat 2 slices... and maybe the other 2 for supper or most probably will hit the fridge... hahaa...

And I bet all of you must have missed me so much for being busy and disappearing during the entire exam period! lol... so here is a present from me to you! A mosaic of me throughout the exam period... (I also feel so eerie as I typed this sentence... hahaa)

Last week, I made these designs for my 2008 batch's token of appreciation gift, which will be presented to our lovely dean, Prof. Boey during the Graduation Night. I used a very primitive way to do it, which is Power Point! Hahaa... And it was indeed very effective, it took me less than 15 minutes to finish... Here they are:

Exam Period

EXAM IS COMING!!! Huhuuu... In less than 10 days I will have my first exam of the semester!! And I'm super stress now coz I nvr studied or revised any of the lessons so far... And to make it worse, my exam sche is quite packed, 16 morning, 21 afternoon, 23 morning and 23 evening!!! I'm really scared for the last 2 exams, bcoz one is my toughest module of the semester, and the other is the Mgt of Financial Inst module, which I nvr touched throughout the entire semester! Even for the quiz I din study (actually I din know that there's a quiz on tt day =.=)

But the good news is I will finish all within the next 20 days!!! And left with FYP presentation on May 6. Anyway, the purpose of this post is to thank my friends for the Exam Wishes!!! Hahaaa... Although this year I only get 3 packets, but it's more than enough to give some kind of motivation and encouragement for me... ^^

Thank you to Ardis, Denia and Andri Bat[][], I mean Andri ex-roomie.... (Hehee... since you've been so nice to send me the EW, I should call you with a more proper name...). And also not forget to thank the other special packet sender for such a great exam present...

Hmmm... If every exam I get such nice presents, I wont mind to have exam every month... Hahaaa... Just kidding!!! Hahaaa... I definitely prefer not to have any exams in my entire life!!!!! Exam sucks! But there are many great things to look forward to after my exam, like meeting Minister George Yeo, MSE outting and Grad Night, Radio interview, Holiday aka Grad Trip and of course looking forward to 18th June 2008! Hahaaa...

Yandi, The Fire Emperor

Bored, super duper bored today... I then "googled" my own name, and see what I found... Kinda interesting~

According to Chinese legend, Yandi was the leader of the tribe with the family name Jiang. (Wrong, it should be Liang not Jiang!) He was also called Chidi, Lieshan or Shen Nong (Whooaaa... I din know tt I have so many different names =p). Some say that he was the descendant of Shen Nong. His mother was Renshi (WRONG again!!! Hahaaa), who fell pregnant when she saw a divine dragon on her trip to Hua Shan (=.="'). She gave birth to Yandi on her return. He was born on Lie Shan, grew up along the Jiang River and was a virtuous ruler. Since he possessed the virtue of fire (I knew it, I'm so special~), he was called Yandi, the fire emperor. Yandi could speak three days after he was born (Wow!), walk within five days (double wow Wow!!) and plough a field when he was three years old (triple Wow WOw wow!!). He taught people how to farm. Hence, they were well fed and well clothed. (see... I told u I'm a very good boy!)

At first, there was no medicine, so Yandi tastedd many species of plants to find suitable ingredients to concoct medicine (future doctor!? hmmm... maybe in my second life). But he was often poisoned by the plants he ate (sucky!!). He also invented musical instruments and instituted rites and rituals (I'm the next Kenny G or Dave Koz... Hohooo). His people originally lived in what is now southern Shaanxi Province, moving east along the Yellow River in later years where he came into conflict with the Yellow Emperor. He was defeated by the Yellow Emperor (bcoz they CHEATED!!!!) in the Battle of Banquan and his tribe combined with the tribe of the Yellow Emperor, forming the Huaxia Nationality. That is the reason the Chinese now call themselves the "descendants of Yandi and the Yellow Emperor".

The Class Plaque Laying Ceremony

Gosh... I'm speechless at the moment... Din expect such thing to happen to me... WOWW!! Argghhh... Thank God!! Now happy and nervous and worried and scared and......... All mixed up... Here is the news: I'm gonna give a speech on behalf of the graduating cohort and present the class gift to the Chancellor after the 1st convocation ceremony! If only my MSE convo is on the same time, I dont need to give 2 speeches... Hahaaa~

Dear Yandi,

The Class Plaque Laying Ceremony

The tradition of the Class Plaque was started by the graduating class of 2005. They have begun a tradition of making a donation to the University endowment to benefit future generations of students of the university.To commemorate their graduation, a class plaque, to remain in perpetuity, will be placed in the new University Quadrangle by student leaders after the first Convocation ceremony. A ring of class plaques, from past, present and future graduates, will eventually be a central feature of the University Quadrangle.

A student leader is usually invited to give a speech and to present a token of the class gift to the Chancellor at this ceremony.

We are pleased to inform you that you have been nominated to give a speech on behalf of the graduating cohort and to present the class gift to the Chancellor. The Class Plaque Laying Ceremony will be held after Convocation Ceremony 1 (21 July 2008) at about 1.00 pm (tentative) at the Quad.

Proceedings at the Quad
We have not confirmed the details of the proceedings at the Quad. The following is a guide though:
* Student Leader’s speech
* Laying of the class plaque (by two graduating students)
* Presentation of class gift from the graduating class to the Chancellor
* Academic Procession will be ushered back to the foyer for tea reception
* Chancellor to meet NTU graduates

Your speech
For your speech, the Corporate Communications Office and Development Office will advise you on the objectives of the speech. We will provide you at a later time the names of the officers from these two offices who will be assisting you on the speech.

Names of the two graduating students
In addition, we need the help of two graduating students to lay the class plaque. We would be grateful if you could assist to find suitable candidates for this purpose. The students should have a good mix of race and nationality.

Please kindly confirm your attendance and provide me the names of the two students and their contact details by 2 April 2008.

Please note that there will be a rehearsal held on the 3rd week of July 08 for you and the 2 graduating students.

USA here is not United State of America, instead it's University Scholars Award... Hehee... I was nominated to be one of the recepients for this year USA, and I did my presentation last Thursday, 20th March 2008. It was quite a short one, as we were only allocated 5 minutes of presentation and 10 minutes of Q&A with the panel judges. My session lasted slightly longer, bcoz I presented my slides for more than 5 minutes... Hahaa... But it was kinda interesting, as out of 8 panel judges and 2 observants, I know at least 3 of them, Prof Er, Prof Hooi and Mrs. Seah... So I did not feel nervous at all when I did my presentation. Hahaaa...

And now let's talk about the more interesting stuff, in fact it was the highlight of the day... hmm... and arguably the highlight of the third week of March!!! Hahaaa... It's my Japanese Ala-Carte buffet dinner at Minori!!! The food was so good although its a bit pricey... But it's worth it... =p

It's loacted at UE Square, and it costs abt $39.00 nett per person... Heheee... And as typical hungry students, we ordered lots and lots of foods!! Hahaa... Here they are:

FYP Examiner

Wahhh... Finally the list is out!!! Hahaaa... Was very nervous initially, coz everyone sms-ed me, asking who's my examiner.... And yesterday Ard said 1 of us will get WCC as the examiner... And there are 4 of us doing the related project under Prof. Subodh... So I have 25% probability tt I will get WCC.... Hahaaa...

It started wif Ragung who sms me, and he said he got Grimsdale (OMG!! Jia you Ragung!), then Phoebe asked me... but I dunno yet at tt point of time... Then followed by Ard, who got Dr. Gan (he's so lucky!!), And Vera got Liang Meng Heng (super duper lucky!!!)... And tt's left wif me... who I tot most probably will get WCC...

And at 7.29pm... I received the email.... and I get...

First and foremost, I have to thank God for this amazing opportunity to give a valedictorian speech during our convo in July...

And of course thank you very much to all my friends for all the supports and for your participation in the MSE Valedictorian 2008 Voting! And Yong Jia, my good friend, you are still the best!!! Let's draft the speech together as we agreed earlier on! Heheee =)

Second Week of March 2008 - Novena SQ Week

Yes, as mentioned in the title, this week is Novena Square week... Why? Because almost everyday (Tues-Fri) I went to Novena Square... Hahaaa... For wad? Hmm... for.... u know.... hahaa...

And this week, I handed in my FYP report to my mentor... Ask for her help to read through it first before I submit it to my prof... Kinda happy, coz at least my burden is lighten up abit... Hohooo~

Oh ya, catched Spiderwick on Friday... It was just ok IMO... The story is quite interesting, however it will b a much better movie if they put in more actions, magic, battles and change the last battle! The final final battle was a disappointment... Hehee... And had dinner at Ti Amo... I had Seafood Baked Rice, Mushroom Soup and coffee... The food was good and the ambience was quite nice too, just tt it was quite crowded tt time... So ya.... (soya soya... hmmm it reminds me of the soya ice cream tt we had tt day too) Heheee...

So overall, it was again a good week... heheee... Looking forward for the third week of March to come!!! Oh no... Exam is coming in 1 month time.... huhuuu....

*> Oh ya... I had MB214 quiz tt day... Its weightage is 15% of my final grade... And the problem is I didnt know tt it's on tt day... So I came unprepared and I din even bring my notes... Fortunately I have very kind friends who told me all the answers of the Qns... Hahaaa... But I put in my own effort oso la... I managed to do 4 out of 10 Qns by my self... =p

The most interesting part was when there's a student, who suddenly came to our registration booth, and donated to the Class Gift... I din even do anything to ask him to donate... Hahaaa... *> Morning, I went to One Raffles Link for the 2nd round of ICON Recruitment Competition... It was the mock interview round... Actually I have no motivation for this competition already... As I have lots of other things to do... But since I applied already, and din wanna give a bad image of the organizer to the company, so I went thr and tried to haf fun... hehee

*> Afternoon, I went Novena Square to do my problem solving test... The test was quite ok, although the numerical was super duper tedious... I made a new friend thr, Sylvia Sim, and I met an old frd too... Hahaaa...

*> Evening, I had a group meeting for my MB214 project... ended quite late, and had dinner at e Quad... I love the chicken udon thr... Hahaaa... Then I msn wif my mom after I returned to my room... The connection was so bad tt day until we can use the cam...

Overall, it was a very good week... At least to me, it is interesting and exciting... heheee... =)

MSE Undergraduate Brochure 2008/09

Hahaaa.... I just saw my school new undergrad brochure this afternoon, while I was walking to meet Joanne for the vale rally tmr morning... On the way to her office, I met Loreen Tan and Prof. Hng... Loreen told me my pics look nice and said I should b a model... Honestly, I was blushed when she said tt, and I dunno wad to say back to her... But I know she's just being nice to me... hahaaa... am not qualified to b a model, my face simply just can't make it! Not handsome enough~ Hahaaa... Or maybe what she really meant is to be a model for the plastic surgery, the before section.

Anyway, Belinda looks great, as always, in the brochure... I only managed to scan the front cover as the scanner was damn slow, and I was rushing to go back home. Maybe next time I'll scan some of the inside pics as well, kinda cool actually, but too bad, they "stretch" my neck too long until I become like a giraffe instead... =p will show u guys next time...

Now need to focus to prepare the speech for my rally tmr... Show me some love ya friends!!! Hahaaa...

Finally... My very first post!

Yea.... Finally I decided to start to type my very first blog entry! Hehee...

Actually I've wanted to blog since last year (I remember it was during last sem exam), but was so lazy to start... And now, in the midst of my busiest period (fyi, am still struggling completing my FYP report... haizz), suddenly I feel so motivated to blog... Btw, it's 2.30am now, I cant sleep so... here I am forcing my self to type something for my first post... (Wow... its not as easy as I tot before... kinda difficult just to write something meaningful)

Anyway, I've experienced so many ups and downs and so many wonderful craziness over the past couple of years... So I think it will be great to type in all those memories here before I forget any of them, be it the nice, bad, happy, sad, sweet, sour, bitter, salty, spicy or even the plain ones (coz I love plain vanilla milk =p). Heheee...

They said if u share ur joy, it will b doubled, and if u share ur sorrow, it will b halved... Hope that it will turn out to be true, so let the blogging begins!!!
